According to data from the Bureau of National Statistics of
Kazakhstan
, analyzed by StatSpotlight.com, the export of salt (HS Code: 2501) in May 2024 amounted to 48.7 thsd metric tons.
The export grew by 2.6 thsd metric tons (+5.6%) compared to the previous month.
Year-on-year, the export of salt rose by 17.3 thsd metric tons (+55.3%) compared to May 2023.
In comparison to the same month two years ago (May 2022), the export showed a decrease of 11.9 thsd metric tons (-19.7%).
The YTD export of salt reached 276.0 thsd metric tons, increasing by 19.8 thsd metric tons (+7.7%) compared to last year.
