According to data from the Bureau of National Statistics of Kazakhstan , analyzed by StatSpotlight.com, in August 2025, the import of sunflower seeds (HS Code: 1206) amounted to 16.5 thsd metric tons.

Compared to the previous month, the import increased by 7.1 thsd metric tons (+76.4%).

Compared to August 2024, the import of sunflower seeds year-on-year increased by 3.6 thsd metric tons (+28.4%).

In comparison to the same month two years ago (August 2023), the import showed a decrease of 7.5 thsd metric tons (-31.2%).

YTD, the import of sunflower seeds totaled 109.7 thsd metric tons, which is 32.9 thsd metric tons (-23.0%) less than last year's figure.
