Kazakhstan: Imports of unmanufactured tobacco for August 2024

According to data from the Bureau of National Statistics of Kazakhstan , analyzed by StatSpotlight.com, the import of unmanufactured tobacco (HS Code: 2401) in August 2024 amounted to 1.1 thsd metric tons.

Compared to the previous month, the import grew by 242.3 metric tons (+29.6%).

In comparison to August 2023, the import of unmanufactured tobacco showed a year-on-year decrease of 116.9 metric tons (-9.9%).

Compared to the same month two years ago (August 2022), the import decreased by 958.0 metric tons (-47.5%).

The YTD import of unmanufactured tobacco amounted to 7.4 thsd metric tons, decreasing by 1.4 thsd metric tons (-15.7%) compared to the same period last year.
