According to data from the Bureau of National Statistics of Kazakhstan , analyzed by StatSpotlight.com, the import of petroleum (HS Code: 2710) in May 2024 amounted to 24.6 thsd metric tons.

Compared to the previous month, the import grew by 3.0 thsd metric tons (+13.9%).

Year-on-year, the import of petroleum dropped by 123.6 thsd metric tons (6.0 times) compared to May 2023.

In comparison to the same month two years ago (May 2022), the import increased by 9.6 thsd metric tons (+63.7%).

YTD, the import of petroleum totaled 176.1 thsd metric tons, which is 335.1 thsd metric tons (2.9 times) less than last year's figure.
