According to data from the Bureau of National Statistics of
Kazakhstan
, analyzed by StatSpotlight.com, in August 2024, the import of electricity (HS Code: 2716) amounted to 530.6 mln kWh.
The import grew by 38.3 mln kWh (+7.8%) compared to the previous month.
Year-on-year, the import of electricity declined by 267.3 mln kWh (-33.5%) compared to August 2023.
Two years ago, in the same month (August 2022), the import increased by 291.8 mln kWh (2.2 times).
The import of electricity YTD amounted to 2.7 B kWh, falling by 504.5 mln kWh (-15.9%) compared to the previous year.
