According to data from the Bureau of National Statistics of
Kazakhstan
, analyzed by StatSpotlight.com, the import of bags and suitcases (HS Code: 4202) in March 2024 reached 1.6 mln pcs.
The import grew by 498.2 thsd pcs (+45.3%) compared to the previous month.
Year-on-year, the import of bags and suitcases dropped by 5.0 mln pcs (4.1 times) compared to March 2023.
Relative to the same month two years ago (March 2022), the import rose by 577.5 thsd pcs (+56.5%).
The YTD import of bags and suitcases amounted to 4.0 mln pcs, decreasing by 7.8 mln pcs (2.9 times) compared to the same period last year.
