, analyzed by StatSpotlight.com, in August 2024, the import of rice (HS Code: 1006) totaled 5.2 thsd metric tons.
The import increased by 2.0 thsd metric tons (+64.1%) compared to the previous month.
In comparison to August 2023, the import of rice showed a year-on-year decrease of 4.9 thsd metric tons (-48.8%).
The import dropped by 10.6 thsd metric tons (3.1 times) compared to the same month two years ago (August 2022).
The import of rice YTD amounted to 54.7 thsd metric tons, exceeding last year's value by 2.4 thsd metric tons (+4.5%).
