, analyzed by StatSpotlight.com, the import of bananas (HS Code: 803) in December 2024 amounted to 20.2 thsd metric tons.
Compared to the previous month, the import dropped by 217.9 metric tons (-1.1%).
The import of bananas year-on-year, compared to December 2023, grew by 1.7 thsd metric tons (+9.4%).
Relative to the same month two years ago (December 2022), the import rose by 6.3 thsd metric tons (+45.8%).
Year-to-date, the import of bananas totaled 204.1 thsd metric tons, up by 2.8 thsd metric tons (+1.4%) compared to the previous year.
