According to data from the Bureau of National Statistics of
Kazakhstan
, analyzed by StatSpotlight.com, the import of electricity (HS Code: 2716) in December 2024 amounted to 701.2 mln kWh.
Compared to the previous month, the import increased by 135.2 mln kWh (+23.9%).
The import of electricity year-on-year, compared to December 2023, grew by 308.3 mln kWh (+78.5%).
In comparison to the same month two years ago (December 2022), the import increased by 405.2 mln kWh (2.4 times).
The YTD import of electricity reached 4.9 B kWh, increasing by 97.4 mln kWh (+2.0%) compared to last year.
