According to data from the National Statistics Office of Georgia , analyzed by StatSpotlight.com, in August 2025, the import of cigars and cigarettes (HS Code: 2402) totaled 630.0 mln pcs.

Compared to the previous month, the import grew by 9.7 mln pcs (+1.6%).

Year-on-year, the import of cigars and cigarettes declined by 155.6 mln pcs (-19.8%) compared to August 2024.

Relative to the same month two years ago (August 2023), the import declined by 145.3 mln pcs (-18.7%).

Year-to-date, the import of cigars and cigarettes reached 5.4 bln pcs, down by 1.0 bln pcs (-16.1%) compared to last year.
