According to data from the Bureau of National Statistics of Kazakhstan , analyzed by StatSpotlight.com, the import of cigars and cigarettes (HS Code: 2402) in August 2024 amounted to 545.2 mln pcs.

The import dropped by 28.6 mln pcs (-5.0%) compared to the previous month.

Year-on-year, the import of cigars and cigarettes dropped by 12.3 B pcs (23.5 times) compared to August 2023.

Compared to the same month two years ago (August 2022), the import decreased by 156.5 mln pcs (-22.3%).

The import of cigars and cigarettes YTD amounted to 3.5 B pcs, falling by 12.4 B pcs (4.6 times) compared to the previous year.
