According to data from the Bureau of National Statistics of Kazakhstan , analyzed by StatSpotlight.com, in May 2025, the import of cigars and cigarettes (HS Code: 2402) totaled 315.9 mln pcs.

The import dropped by 1.5 B pcs (5.8 times) compared to the previous month.

Compared to May 2024, the import of cigars and cigarettes year-on-year decreased by 11.9 mln pcs (-3.6%).

Relative to the same month two years ago (May 2023), the import declined by 297.3 mln pcs (-48.5%).

YTD, the import of cigars and cigarettes amounted to 3.1 B pcs, which is 982.4 mln pcs (+46.0%) more compared to the same period last year.
